Lab-grown and natural diamonds compared

Both are diamonds. The useful comparison begins with origin, supply, grading evidence, and the qualities of the individual stone—not with assumptions about what one category guarantees.

Appearance is individual

A well-cut stone can return light effectively regardless of origin. Likewise, a poor cut does not become more brilliant because a diamond is natural or lab-grown. Compare the actual cut, proportions, colour, clarity, and size.

Price is not long-term value

Lab-grown diamonds often have a lower current retail price than natural diamonds of comparable stated grade. Retail price, resale value, replacement value, rarity, and emotional value are different questions. We do not present jewellery as an investment.
